Writing and Learning

Much of my writing is woman centered, often populated by gay and lesbian characters.

Plays

My plays have been described as quirky, absurd, funny, thought-provoking, full of characters who try to communicate and often fail. Audiences have always responded favorably to my work, being both entertained and enlightened.

My plays have all received productions and readings, and I can make them available to theatre companies, actors, and directors.

Fiction

A year or two ago, I wrote a short story called “Ben Cartwright’s Long Lost Son.” With some help, I turned it into a digital story that you can view on YouTube or right here on my website. Just click on the link below. While there, you can read two of my published short stories. I am also in the process of revising a novel manuscript.

Journal

I learn about writing and life from my first-year college students. I am also inspired by books, movies, television shows, and songs. And finally, my friends and colleagues challenge, console, and support me as I put pen to paper and fingers to keyboard. In keeping with the website’s theme, “we tell ourselves stories in order to live,” I hope to examine the truth and lies of my own writing life.
